I wish my insurance was $35/month. I'm from BC, Canada, and in this province it is the law that we have to pay for insurance coverage from the provincial crown corporation, ICBC. Due to many factors, such as their poor budgeting, outrageous accident payouts, and no room for competition, the rates they charge are crazy.

Part of the reason I went with the Z650 was it kept me in the 400-750cc bracket which was considerably cheaper than the next tier. I end up paying just over $150/month for my insurance, and that is with a 40% discount from years of accident/claims free driving.
