Hi from Kansas

I picked my z650 up last weekend! I am loving it. My previous bike was a 2009 650r. I also own a 1975 Honda 200t.

Congrats on the Z, quite the move to make from that history of Honda's. Were you at any point comparing the Z650 to something else from Honda?

Keep us posted on your experience.

Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you must've broken it in by now, so what are your impressions on it??

@ Roadhawk: Opps Sorry about that, the 650r is a Kawasaki. I have been looking for a lighter bike for the last year. When I heard that the z650 was coming out I knew it would be the bike for me. I love the 650r but it was to heavy for me as I am a bit on the short side of life...5'1" on a good day.

@Stitch : I still love it. It's light, fun and I need a wind screen!

Heavier bikes are good motivation to hit the gym. My dream bike is a Busa and as anyone can tell from just looking at one, they are tanks, but too heavy for me even on casual riding. Throwing around nearly 600LBS isn't easy, just imagine if it drops and having to pick it up.

That's where sliders come in, and it's just a matter of practicing how to shift from on foot to the other on a bike. It does help if you've some leg muscles to make life easier.

Frame Sliders are on the bike.
Fender Eliminator is on order.
Lowering link is on order.
Radiator cover on order.

At this point, I am not going to change out the exhaust. I had a super loud Muzzy megaphone on the last bike that I loved. Since I can't get that for this bike I think I am just going to keep what it came with....(we will see how long that lasts)
