Hi to all,

can our bike acheive a sound like a 4 cylinder? an italian motorbike Benelli TNT 300 with a 2 cylinder engine sounds like a 4cylinder (check out the link below). They say that the firing of ignition on the benelli is 1:1 (i mean ignition 1 and 2 fires at the same time) while kawasaki twin engine fires alternate from left to rigth(based on manual) that is why, kawasaki twin sounds like... i dont know..

My question is, can a dyno or computer tweak the ignition firing to fire at the same time on our bike?

thank you... appreciate any of your thoughts..

The firing order of an engine is predetermined by the crankshaft and camshaft layouts. You can adjust timing in order to get different combustion properties (heat, power, efficiency, etc) but if you were to simply fire the spark at the same time on both cylinders without changing quite a few other things with the engine you'd simply have one dead cylinder.
