A little mod to the color.

I am more of a "murdered out" type of guy. I love all black motorcycles, pipes and all. However the white one strangely really caught my eye. So I purchased it. Even though I love the way it looks, it was a little bit too much white for MY personal taste. So I decided to paint the white around the headlight and the front fender. I was going to do a dark gray but couldn't find the can around the house, so I'll leave that for tomorrow. Removing the plastic parts was a breeze, and to me it was faster than prepping/taping around the parts. What do you guys think of the black? I'll be trying out the dark gray tomorrow then sticking to my favorite.

I think black actually looks pretty good with the white body. Not sure about grey since I'm not the best at imagining colors so it's hard to say what it'll look like. Keep us update with pictures please!
I like it, it changes the appearance of the headlight area just enough.

Check out the British website (kawasaki.co.uk) or Pyramid Plastics to see the grey and black model that we don't get here in the states. (Pyramid has accessories for it and shows the colors)
Thanks, I also like the black as an accent color. I checked out those websites and I kinda like the titanium as well.
That does look really good. Did you just use black paint alone with no clear coat on it? Looks pretty matte to me but it could just be the pictures perhaps?

Yes. Wanted to stay with the satin matte look.
Thanks Super easy to remove the parts. Ill write it up over the weekend in case anyone is interested.
Here is a little update. The gray color on the "windscreen" was what I was originally going to use for the fender and around the headlight just to give it some pop. I think the gray closely resembles the gray on some of the engine components, minus the metalized look of course. I am a big fan of the satin look. Please excuse the bugs took her on a quick run before the pics

Hm.. that doesn't look too bad at all. Definitely think it'll look much better after it's all complete, I may not be the best at visualizing the end product
Ok tried something a little different. Went with a lighter gray. I really like that light gray although not with the white. Only way I would keep it is to paint the tank the same color, but seems like a hassle. Going back to the dark gray.

Enjoying your efforts. I really like the white I have, but seeing other options is cool.
Thanks. Done for now. Sticking to the dark gray.

Now that definitely looks different. The white tank definitely stands out a lot more now though!

So there are no plans to paint that the dark grey to match it all?

Thought about it because the dark gray looks badass (picture doesn't do it justice) but the whole sticker being under a coat of paint thing has me second guessing. Maybe if I can find the same Kawasaki sticker in black or white.
I thought about this a while ago... .Kawi lettering in a ghosting white would look really good. It just has to be done right, similar to what a car maker/bike maker would do. But that's just me since I like fine subtle details like that.
Interesting. Looks like two different bikes if you look from the front and a side profile shot. The front fender looks like you swapped it out with the black bike rather than aftermarket paint.

Considering how popular wrapping has become, have you considered wrapping the parts?
I have but spray paint is soo cheap and easy.
