Yeah, I know what they say, if its too loud then you are too old. Maybe I'm too old, but my new Black Widow exhaust is just too loud.

I already wrote BW and asked for advice. Is there a quiet baffle I can install? I'd have to drill the rivets, though, which I don't want to do.

Or is there a really quiet muffler/silencer that I can substitute?

I hope there is an answer. This thing is giving me a headache and the neighbors (old people like me) are approaching with pitchforks.

I bought a system with the biggest muffler they had for my bike, 350mm. here's what it looks like:

I would wait and see what Black Widow says. If the baffle is long enough, drill, remove, wrap in fiberglass, install, re-rivet. PITA, but doubt you're going to find an aftermarket exhaust that's as quiet as stock. Maybe Black Widow would do it for a fee?

I took the DB killer out and took a peek inside. Looks like the baffle is fully packed all the way in. Could be the design just doesn't force enough of the the exhaust through the packing to be quiet enough.

I'm going to take your advice and wait to see what BW says. If they can't help, it looks like Supertrapp has a good solution.

The Black widow exhaust really impressed me.

1-price was really low, even with shipping and import duty to Tucson, AZ, USA.
2-Shipping was lightning fast. Faster than if I ordered from my own country!
3-Packing was unbelievable. For instance, the muffler was in its own drawstring bag INSIDE a plastic bag INSIDE custom formed styrofoam INSIDE a custom box INSIDE another box. A Fabrege' egg couldn't have been packed more carefully.
4-Installation was easy enough a 10 year old could do it. Everything fit perfectly, and all necessary parts, gaskets and (first class) fasteners included.
5-Quality was first rate. Welding, bending, brackets, all pefect.
6-Looks great, and the former auto mechanic in me sleeps better at night knowing my baby's engine isn't living one floor above a 600 degree (farenheit) furnace.

If I can get it , say 20 decibels quieter, my life would be perfection. (My motorcycle life)

If you can pull the baffle out, you can wrap it in fiberglass to quiet it down.

The baffles in this video are massive, but the principal is the same:
I was thinking of doing that, but it looks like the innards are lined with mesh with baffle material around it, so its got as much baffle material as it can get already.

Or I could be wrong.

Hello Brian,
search to this System: Kawasaki Z650 2020 Racing Line (Titanium)
S-K6R12-HEGEHT
,EC;ECE
This System is original for the 2020 modells from Z 650 also with EURO5,
its cheaper than the 2021 System... You can remove the catalyser
very easy and the loadness is the same as the original sytem on your RS.
Installion is plug and play, also you save some wight...,near 2,9 kg

Thanks, but I really don't want to replace the entire system again. I'll look for other alternatives.

Aye up guys, out of curiosity, did you had to tune the engine after refitting the BW?
I've got a Z65o 2022 50th anniversary edition and while I do love my neighbours, I couldn't care less about their moaning towards my exhaust sound. Hence I have bough a Black Widow exhaust that sits in my garage because nobody can tell me if I need a retune/reflash my ECU. Now, from your knowledge, do I need to flash the ECU if I retrofit this exhaust ? BW said no, but I need to be sure. Not looking for performance improvement (he says while gunning it down the A12), looking more for sound as the stock one is pants.
Sooo whadaya think ? Flash or no flash ?
Cheers
