Upgrading the brake lines will give you more firm and even pressure for a better feel and increased stopping power. The Z has pretty spongey feedback. Braided lines are on my to-do list. For pads, I usually get EBC. They should be available for the Z650, but you might have to call for a cross reference.

I was wondering if anyone has lowered their Z650? I purchased the Soupy's lowering link from Ebay and will be installing. The bike already has a lower seat height than most bikes of this displacement but i'm looking for one more inch or so to be able to flat foot.
