It seems like the chain stretches out easily causing too much chain slack. I've had to adjust my chain slack 3 times in 3500 miles. The first time I checked it was when I did the 600 mile service and there was a lot chain slack... I thought maybe the dealer didn't have it set correctly when they sold it to me. But when I checked it 1000 miles later it had 10mm too much slack. What gives? I clean and lube 1x week, 2 weeks tops. Anyone else experienced this? Any tips and or replacement thoughts?
What's up Tremonte, haven't seen you in a while. I was using motorcycle chain cleaner. Just cleaned it on Sunday and used Kerosene for the first time. I use a decent chain lube, forgot the brand. After I clean I spray it down two rotations with lube then a light wipe down. The chain looks not only loose, but dry in that photo. What are you using to clean and lube with? Do you spray the lubricant and leave it? Or do you spray then wipe it down?
if the links won't move easily then maybe the o-rings got damaged somehowWhat's up Tremonte, haven't seen you in a while. I was using motorcycle chain cleaner. The rear sprocket doesn't show any obvious wearing. I'll check the front. What was your total price?I replaced chain and front sprocket when mileage at 12 thousand miles. Chain got kinks like yours and front sprockets worn out. It started to make noises.
What currency?Ohh i replaced the rear sprocket too, for different gearing total cost rm600.
ThanksIf staying the same sprockets, you should be 114-115 links. Most chain kits come at 120 links, and you have to cut it down. Just don't forget to count the master and pick the correct link before you cut!!!
seen it. Would like to have itgrease ninja is great for applying lube
