So I went to start my bike the other day (2017 abs) and it was dead, so I used a old 12v ,10A charger (too high of amps, I know), and only left it on for 2 hours .Now my bike is throwing me a check engine light with code 62, this code seems to be about the valve actuator , but I also saw that a bad battery or connection could cause it. I don’t notice any performance issues from idle to redline. Could this be a little hiccup , or should I take it in.

Try This....Push the left button on the display panel until your odometer is what’s displayed - you don’t want trip meters. Once your total odometer mileage is displayed press both the left and right buttons at the same time for about three seconds until the odometer reading changes to the two digit FI error code or codes (it will cycle through them lowest to highest of your bike has multiple) that your bike is observing/storing. Do these steps with the key in the on position but the bike not running. this is from another thread

What ended up being the issue? Exact thing happened to me after charging my bike

So I took in my 19 650 to check out that engine code and ended up paying 150 for them to run a diagnostic and tell me the system had a hiccup lol. Everything was all good, i guess when I charged the battery after winter it threw off something in the system 🤷. I had an extended warranty but was still glad nothing was broken.
