I have not been riding for the last 13 years, but I'm about to pick up my next bike. My first bike was an '01 SV650S. It was a great bike that I had no complaints with. For my next bike I had zeroed in on a '16 CBR500R. Part of me wonders if I will find the 500R lacking in power and brakes compared to the SV650S? That has led me to the Z650. It's a beautiful looking bike and seems more comparable to the SV650S.

I have been reading/watching reviews of the Z650 and comments about vibration have come up. My only frame of reference is the SV650S. I never had any complaints re vibration with that bike. Anyone have comments on vibration of the Z650 vs other sport twins? I'm wondering if the complaints about vibration are from riders of I4 bikes?

Thanks for the input

My last bike was a 13cb500x, same engineer as the cb500r. It had no vibrations that I noticed. This bike does vibrate some, but it is not an issue to me and I ride it a lot. I notice some shake in the stock mirrors and maybe minimal vibes at times in the foot pegs and bars, but again not a bad experience or problem at least for me. This bike is a much better motorcycle experience, whatever that means. ;)

This is my first bike. Recently went on a 273 mile journey, I didn't feel that the vibrations were a problem. The bike was comfortable, I have nothing else to compare it with, but if it was a problem I figure a long ride would make it obvious.
