Hey guys I need some help, I'm 17 been riding for about 1.5 years. I try to do my own maintenance so don't tell my to take it to a shop, anyways I washed my 2019 Z and soon after got error code 21 (crankshaft sensor) so I started digging around for info. Cant find much so here I am. I am very confused, the bike has no noticeable issue or weird sound, starting issue, it has the same power, runs like new to put it in a word. Took it for what was about a 20 Mile ride making sure to pay close attention to sounds and power, so I'm thinking it just got wet and threw a false code.... opinions ❔

Most likely you're correct. This code indicates a short or open wiring, which water could maybe facilitate. The crankshaft sensor connecter (see image) likely got wet. Just be careful and use a low pressure hose when washing.
