Good choice. I own a Z650 and have ridden a CBR500. The CBR500 is well down on power, I was quite disappointed. The Z650 is a blast to ride.

First Street Bike
Just bought my first street bike. Pearl white z650 of course. Was debating on it vs the cbr500r for a while and finally went for this one. Haven't ridden it yet as I haven't had time to stop by the dmv to take the permit test to get my permit. But hopefully in the next few days. Lots of mods planned as well.
Gonna speed up my commute in the bay area traffic as well as save me money gas wise.
