Hi guys, on a recent 240 km ride with mostly back roads, I got an average fuel consumption of 24.7km/l (58 mpg). I am still in the breaking in phase, keeping the rpms below 5k. I was just wondering what others are getting.

After all the mods I've done, and with my riding aimed at fun more than fuel economy, I still average 57mpg.

That's quite good to hear, another reason to like the Z, great fuel economy

I don't know how you guys are getting high 50 mpg. With mixed city and highway riding (60% city/40% highway) I get high 40 mpg.
From a full tank of gas, I can barely squeeze 300km on a single tank. That works out to be about 180 miles/ 4Gtank.

It has slightly improved since the break in procedure but not by much.

Stop and go riding is what eats away at your fuel economy, same thing with cars.

I get 44 mpg on Bay Area, California traffic. Its a mix of city and lane splitting.

I am averaging in 22 - 24 Kmpl range, done about 1000 kms. my commute is mostly city with lots of stop and go. i ride in 3 -4 k range rpm. ahhh i am from Delhi, India (very crowded can't go above 70-80 Kmph speed).
but bike really fun to ride.
