New guy here, not really looking at buying a bike right at this moment, but I am in the market for one. The Z650 does look pretty nice, especially in the pictures from EICMA that I seen. I'll post those up shortly. Guess I'm really here to learn a lot and contribute as I progress.

If this was a super sport bike like a ducati 899 or something like that then you might have more to be concerned about but as long as you are mindful of how you ride throughout the power range and so on, you'll be fine.

some people I know started with 600's, brave move, but not for everyone. have you at least had seat time on a larger CC bike before deciding to buy one like you are here?
