Went to Shah Alam from JB last friday, a 315 km trip. About 2 hours of day light and 1:30 of night. Mostly highway riding and it was raining in the begining.

What I found out?
1. No problem with riding in the rain as long it is during day time. The Arai heavy rain jacket is good in keeping me dry.
2. The z650 ABS work fine. My rear brake activate the ABS click click click during emergency braking. Smooth and no funny motion.
3. Headlight adequate. Need to adjust beam height a bit.
4. Definitely need a windshield. Need protection from wind pressure, the occasional bug, stone and bird. Hehe bird!!! On the way back a black bird probably a crow hit me on the right rib at 160 km/h. Lucky it did not hit me on the helmet visor.

ha ha. Maybe they will make steel transparent someday.

..... Hit my a bird, in the ribs, at 160km/h.

I must ask, how did that feel as I've never experienced anything close to that :|

Birds are pretty light It feel like being punch by a small kid. You do feel it but it is not painful. I did make a sound like " ugghhh" when it hit me hehe. But if it hit you in the visor hemmm maybe that would be serius.
