This could easily be the most overlooked mod for some of us until we personally witness our bike lying on its side coming out of work. I have had multiple close falls when my kickstand sank so deep into the pavement and have seen a bike in our recently resurfaced parking lot tipped over damaging adjacent bikes as a result of kickstand sinking into the ground. Installed this as a precaution.

I got one of these as well and it's a whole lot more convenient than a hat tucked under your grab handle or a crushed can. Not sure what the rules on links are here. So if you google "CNC Aluminum Kickstand Pad for Kawasaki Z650" It's basically the first result.

I also did that to my Z650. Worth it, after a few bikes picked from the ground. Just check the screws every now and then, they can get lose from vibes. Mine did.
