Dear members of this platform,

I care a lot about practicality and longevity.
After buying the bike used(parked outside, on private ground for one year, 250 miles)
from a vendor, I didn't wait long to clean and get it all covered in ACF-50.

Today I noticed there was paint lightly flaking off the steel trellis frame.
So I was wondering what is happening here.

Corrosion? Abrasion? Do I need to worry?

I did not find any useful information on previous experiences,
what kind of paint was applied to the trellis frame
and how the paint is layered.

As shown in the picture the thin layer of paint revealed a dark surface.
I am quite curious as to whether this is a layer on top of the steel
or it is the blank steel.

thanks in advance

@czrlaker thanks for the quick answer

Does it imply the black surface is actually corroded steel/ rust causing the flake?
I am not sure whether I should just leave it be or take measures to prevent/ restore.

It does not really attract a lot of attention and does not bother me too much.
But I would mind if it spread. or leads to extensive rust.

Here is a close-up on the flakes.
