Hey, I?ve recently changed my stock exhaust to a full system exhaust. May I ask if it?s normal for low end torque losses ? Isit advisable to do an ecu tuning after a full system change ?
May I ask what exhaust system you got? I have yet to purchase an exhaust but I haven't read anywhere about torque loss. Every video/blog I've seen mentions how it opens up this bike.Hey, I?ve recently changed my stock exhaust to a full system exhaust. May I ask if it?s normal for low end torque losses ? There was a good month or more gap between adding the exhaust, then getting the ECU and tune done. This was due to waiting on the production release of the Rapid Bike ECU. The largest gain came solely from the exhaust. No losses, only gains at each step in the tuning process. The ECU gained us a bit more power, but it was minor compared to the Yoshimura alone. The biggest thing the ECU did for me was correct the AFR curve, and allow reduced engine braking. It's the ECU tune that helped and it's usually suggested you do this after modifying the exhaust. But if you're going to get a new air filter and make a few other changes, maybe wait a bit and then tune it with everything installed.
