I've been lurking around this forum for a couple weeks now and I've been watching Tremonte's Youtube video (You motivated me in making my decision, thanks!) since he got his bike. I just wanted to finally introduce myself to the scene here as I will be a owner of a '17 Z650 ABS in Stardust White in mid June. This will be my first bike and I am ready. Ready in the sense that I've always wanted to ride but family members always gave me the red flag and what not. I've decided to just tell them I want doing to start riding no matter what. In a matter of only 4 weeks, I wrote the written test, bought a new helmet, jacket, gloves and boots and I've successfully completed the rider's safety course. Now, I just have to wait another 3 weeks until I get my license upgraded. Today, I put in my order which will soon arrive at my dealer in about a week's time.
I've looked at everything from entry level 300cc sport bikes to 600cc supersport bikes but naked bike seems to be favourite in terms of uniqueness and comfort. It wasn't hard choosing between this and the FZ-07 and SV650. It was just a matter of getting finding the best dealer with the best experience and deal. I have plans on making small upgrades to the bike as well as I've been in the car community for over a decade.
I look forward to contributing and learning a lot from all of you as well.
Welcome to the forums! Now that's the way to go about it my friend, you know what you want to do, get out there and pull the trigger and get it done. If you've been a modding enthusiast in the car community, I can anticipate seeing you having some fun and modding the Z650 as well. Can't wait to see what you get done and you're first impressions of it being a new rider.
