Hi. I have a 2022 candy green Z650RS. I am really liking this bike. I've only had it for 2 weeks and I have 90 miles on it. I had to down size in weight from a Triumph Street Twin. I thought I would have to give up power going down from 900cc to 650cc but I think this bike may be just as fast as my Street Twin. I'm 76 years old and I needed to get a lighter bike. I was able to raise the handle bars 20mm and that helped me a lot to be even more comfortable riding. I would like to either put a 16 tooth front sprocket on or a 43 tooth rear sprocket on the bike. It seems to be geared to low for my tastes. Anyone here on this forum ever done that to their 650 yet. The engine braking is also quite strong but it's not something I can't get used to. I love the looks of this bike. Well that's all for now.
I installed a 16 tooth front sprocket today, and I'm a little disappointed. At highway speeds (75 MPH) my speedometer read +4MPH as verified by GPS and RPM at 75MPH was 6000RPM. After installing the 16T, speedometer reads the same as before, and RPM at 75MPH only dropped about 300. I was...
