I went for a black one. Although the green frame is a nice touch on the white one, black has always been my color.
Now browsing the web for a tidy tail, but I guess I'll have to wait a couple of months for manufacturers to come up with a decent one.

Definitely, can't see it taking too long though. The black is still very nice and you'll be able to accentuate it easily with any color you choose

Some owners that go black have a hard time going completely that color without a hint of green, so instead they include hints of kawi green. Do you think that will ever be a route you take or what?

I'd actually probably go with hints of red. I love that classic black and red combination for some reason. But a darker red, nothing too bright and in your face.

That's a good route to take which will help in breaking you away from all the traditional colors people go with. Red wheel tape will be a good idea as well and should look OEM as long as its done right. Where exactly would you add hints of red??

Just frame and rim pinstripe. I don't really think I'm going to add anything to the tank or fenders or anything.

I will be adding red where ever you see green happening here.

That to me is the best way to apply it, aside from the wheels which will be the last thing in order to get red, who knows I might forgo the idea of going red on the wheels:

Typically following that scheme there, your bound to have good results. The red won't be over-used but it'll provide enough that you notice it and it compliments everything else. I feel if you put the whole rim in red, it'll still look good but it may be a little over powering, but nonetheless, everyone's preference is different.

Anybody think some high volume dealers will be lowering the price? I was looking at the XSR900 last season and saw that very thing, I could save some money by driving a bit further. So far though I haven't seen any deals online and all my local shops say buy now because supply will be limited.

Under certain conditions yeah, like if one was a demo or they're doing a clear out but during this early phase its not going to be easy and because of that it won't be worth looking for
