Has anyone tried to do rearsets yet? Or know if some from a ninja would fit? Id like to get some but Im not sure yet

Surprisingly, I don't think anyone here has installed aftermarket rearsets yet, at least I can't find any mention about it. You may be the first one here to do it and there doesn't seem to be a lot of Z650 sets out there.

Maybe the rearsets from another Kawasaki model would fit the Z650?

Just got the same as Tremonte’s: RSV Racing rearset - $200+shipping from Thailand

Bought RSV ones they look good. It took about a month to get to me. So in that respect customer service is about what you would expect when you buy online from Thailand. But it was $257 versus paying 500+ for the Italian ones.

Just wondering if it is an easy install? I saw from the parts diagram seems like I need to take out the swing arm bolt. Or is it just a nut on both sides?

It’s not rocket science, but takes a while - just unscrew all bolts and nuts necessary to remove the OEM rearsets and install the new ones.

Hi! I actually registered to ask the same question about the swingarm. I just bought a set of these to put on my ’18 Ninja 650 and it’s really hard to find anyone who’s done the RSV upgrade on a ‘17+ Z or Ninja so the information is valuable!

The service manual seems to say that the swingarm pivot pin needs to come out which seems like a huge hassle. I presumed that the Z650 wouldn’t be any different from the Ninja in this but I could be wrong :O
