I've been looking for some videos or guides on wheelies for these bikes. I don't have enough experience to randomly play around to figure it out safely even though I'd be on a private course. What speeds/revs do you guys do them on?

I suck at wheelies but you can power wheelie in first gear at around 6000 or 7000 rpm, just let go of throttle let the rpm go down a little bit then immediately give it like >60% throttle the front will leave the ground, cover your rear brake.

if 60% is not enough then add a little bit more the front should lift pretty easily

when you can get the front up to the same height consistently, add a little more throttle

try to land it gently using throttle and rear brake so you don't blow your fork seal

I've done accidental half wheelies before and it scared me away from trying them on tarmac. :D
The trick is to start with smaller bikes. I have seen it done from two ends of the spectrum, a friend that did his first wheelie on a GSXR1000 and a friend that started on a Grom that now owns a Ducati 899... can you guess who doesn't have any injuries?
