I was looking into swapping over to the Corbin seat, and I still might, but I found that putting on tank grips considerably helped my comfort when it came to “slipping” forward on the seat. I’m 5’11 and before the tank grips I felt like I was constantly fighting to stay in position, the grips completely eliminated that for me. I can rest my knees into the tank and actually help support my ass now. I do believe a few other members have the Corbin and I’m sure they’ll chime in on it for more info on that specifically. Ohh interesting. I actually did find while riding if I tightened my legs around the tank it held my position better, but that got annoying to do all the time as well, which Im sure the grips would help with. Do you have the z650 or 650rs? The Corbin looks great in terms of holding in place, but after more reading apparently it raises you up a bit /pushes you a little further back and makes the riding position more aggressive, which Im not sure I want either. Also having trouble justifying $650 on a seat.

 

I have the corbin on my z650 (not RS). It's hard as a rock, I wouldn't recommend it.

 

I need to get tank grips I'm in the same position. 10,000 miles in just squeezing the tank... I didn't think they could help that much. Appreciate the post!

 

I bit the bullet and put on the taller seat on my 650RS. I also put on some foot peg extenders. The extenders only gave me an extra inch and the seat gave me an extra inch. The low seat was badly squishing "the boys" and it had to go.

You can't tell in a picture the difference between the taller and the original seat. You can feel it in your legs and butt. I am 5'11 and I have an inseam of 32".
